New Year New Hope in Logistics Industry Growth
The year 2021 has ended on a pretty impresive note for the country's logistics industry. This industry is still able to grow quite rapidly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic despite being faced with various challenges. A new hope for the growth of the logistics industry has emerged in this new year. The Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) projects that the logistics industry will continue to grow throughout 2022 despite facing many challenges. The growth of the logistics sector is predicted to occur significantly, especially when industry players strengthen and expand market segments. Apart from strengthening by digitizing services, a good corporate management strategy is needed, so that every logistics service provider can improve efficiency and effectiveness in carrying out business activities.
Meanwhile, the Association of Indonesian Supply Chain Experts (YARSI) assessed that the improvement in Indonesia's export achievements will also encourage potential growth in the cargo logistics business. This will of course also create a higher demand in 2022 for various types of logistics businesses in Indonesia. Although these opportunities are wide open, there are still many small and big challenges facing the logistics industry today. The biggest challenge is how these logistics service providers are able to implement efficient logistics operations management and a more effective logistics service capacity for them, so that the momentum of Indonesia's economic revival in 2022 can really be utilized to its full potential.
Therefore, there is a need for an integrated logistics service provider, starting from warehousing, consolidation, delivery of goods, transshipment services, to global logistics management. This integrated transportation and logistics service is also expected to be able to create a faster and more efficient flow of goods, thereby providing benefits for business actors in reducing transportation costs, as well as saving time. All of this can be fulfilled through various transportation management services, warehousing management, bonded logistics center, remote site/supply base services, port management, industrial cargo shipping and also dry bulk logistics.
