Starting a New Spirit by Empowering Energy for Millions

The new year 2022 has arrived. The new year can mean new hope, as well as new enthusiasm in preparing, starting, and moving forward towards a better life for all of us. Likewise with the mining world in the midst of the challenges of the world energy crisis, coal mining is expected to start increasing its mining activities in order to boost production as one example. It’s expected that the energy produced can still be a primary or main source of energy that is able to support life, human activities, to economic growth and stretching.

This is the reason why the Indonesian government issued a policy of banning coal exports at the end of December last year, as an effort to deal with the global energy crisis. In fact, the ban was finally lifted in the second week of January 2022 because the coal supply crisis to PLN has been resolved. Now we need to move forward and make a common commitment to contribute and work together in the midst of the world's energy crisis. Our domestic supply of coal is urgently needed to be sufficient to create equitable energy, and therefore bring light to all Indonesian people.

However, the commitment and expectations did not stop there. The mining world must also begin its commitment to providing more sustainable energy for millions of people. It all started with a commitment to implement good mining practices as a must-have rule from the exploration, mining, to processing stages. In addition, various technologies are also continuously developed to ensure the use of environmentally friendly coal, including clean coal technology, green coal, and carbon capture to welcome a more sustainable future.

The new year 2022 has arrived. A new spirit for realizing more sustainable energy for millions of people is the first step. Commitment to empowering energy sources that can continue to support human progress to build civilization as well as the future, energy sources that provide power for industry to develop, energy sources that empower people to progress, and finally energy sources that pave the way for better future generations.
