The logistics service business in Indonesia continues to record encouraging results. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this industry has actually become a sector that has managed to grow significantly and be able to support the Indonesian economy. The growth of the logistics services business during the COVID-19 pandemic grew 100 percent last year based on data from business consulting firm RedSeer. It even reached its highest peak throughout September 2020 with nearly 400 percent growth.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Logistics Association (ALI) noted that the flow of goods shipments during the pandemic grew by 40 percent. This year, Senior Consultant for Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI), Sugi Purnoto even dared to predict the logistics business could grow up to 10 percent by the end of the year, as all sectors of the country's economy began to grow.

The logistics service industry is indeed a crucial business and plays an important role during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the midst of the policy of restricting population mobility, Indonesia as an archipelagic country requires good connectivity to facilitate the movement of logistics distribution throughout Indonesia to remote, outermost, underdeveloped, and border areas (3TP). It is necessary in this case to realize 'Connecting the Nations' by connecting all corners of the archipelago through the service and support of a professional team. Therefore, integrated logistics and transportation services that are committed to providing convenience in the delivery of goods and services to various regions, including remote areas, are urgently needed.

Both integrated transportation and logistics services are expected to be able to create a faster and more efficient flow of goods, thereby providing benefits for business actors in reducing transportation costs, as well as saving time. All of them can be met through various transportation management services, warehousing management, bonded logistics centers, remote site/supply base services, port management, industrial cargo shipping and also dry bulk logistics.
