Children with Special Needs Teacher Training by CKB Group

Love and affection are the key in child development process, including those with special needs. Consistent effort with proper understanding in treating these special needs children are needed to form their positive behaviour. PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Group), a business entity of PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABM) has been supporting these efforts by holding trainings for teachers and volunteers for Autism House. The training is carried out in collaboration with the Cipta Alliance for Education (CAE) and the Cahaya Keluarga Fitrah Foundation (CAGAR) which manages the Autism House.

This program is part of CKB Group initiatives which in accordance with the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) pillar, i.e. towards education for children especially those with special needs. "We are optimistic that with the cooperation of all parties; Educational activities especially for children with special needs can be well done," said Iman Sjafei, President Director of PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Group).

This activity was attended by 45 teachers and volunteers from Tanjung Priok, Bekasi, Bogor, Depok, Karawang, Gunung Putri and Tangerang. The material provided was meant to build a better understanding about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  It started from awareness about any potential problems that may arise and then how to manage them. Thus, teacher and volunteers are able to compile an assessable and effective program to each ASD individual; especially in this pandemic time which has brought new routines as well as new challenges in the process.

Furthermore, the CKB Group is committed to focus on continuation of CSR activities that maximize the development of competent human resources in order to provide improvement and community independence through sustainable vocational education and training.
