Independent Power Generation

Sumberdaya Sewatama (SS) intends to develop independent power-production capabilities. With this plan, SS acquired 20% interest in Meppogen in November 2010.

Furthermore, to engage in independent power generation through thermal and renewable energy, SS established two subsidiaries in 2011:

  1. PT Pradipa Aryasatya ("Pradipa"), an operating subsidiary that independently generates power through thermal energy such as coal and gas; and
  2. PT Nagata Bisma Shakti ("Nagata"), an operating subsidiary that independently generates power through renewable energy, such as mini-hydro, bio-mass and bio-gas power.

SS also intends to increase the provision of existing services, such as temporary power, de-watering management and operations and maintenance, to non-utility customers.

SS believes that independent power generation, along with its existing operations and maintenance services, will allow SS to provide value-chain services to its customers.
