Jakarta, June 3 - 2021 – As the global economy recovers, ABM is optimistic that in the future trends in the mining sector, especially coal, will continue to grow positively. Various strategies have been prepared to boost the Company's performance throughout 2021, starting from increasing synergies within the PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABM) Group, increasing operational volume and performance, conducting ongoing cost reviews, to exploring opportunities to increase coal reserves. Moreover, ABM through its subsidiary, PT Cipta Kridatama (CK) this year succeeded in obtaining an extension of the mining services cooperation contract with PT Dizamatra Powerindo (DMP) worth Rp 1.65 Trillion with a duration of 5 years.

CK President Director Feriwan Sinatra explained, CK always strives to answer business challenges in the energy sector by setting the right direction to improve performance in a sustainable manner. "This contract extension with DMP is part of CK's long-term strategy to become a more competitive mining contractor and have a sustainable business towards World Class Mining Contractor," explained Feriawan.

The CK mining work location at the DMP site is located in West Merapi District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. Under the cooperation agreement, CK will carry out Overburden Removal and heavy equipment rental for DMP's operational needs in order to achieve the target of around 32 million bank cubic meters (BCM) for a 5-year contract duration. From the volume of Overburden Removal, DMP targets a yield of around 11 million tons of coal. The average production target of Overburden Removal carried out by CK is around 6 million BCM every year so that the total production of DMP coal is 2.2 million tons per year.

Feriwan also added that CK operations in the DMP project will of course be fully supported by companies under the ABM Group and Tiara Marga Trakindo such as Trakindo, PT Sanggar Sarana Baja, PT Cipta Krida Bahari Group and others. "We are optimistic that we can run a superior operation and can provide the best results for DMP." added Feriwan.
